34 people had a lively evening getting to grips with the competing needs for air tightness and ventilation and what’s best for our different homes:
Nobody wants to live in a draughty house, nor a stuffy house; we want the best indoor air quality. Whatever kind of home you live in our panel of experts helped us understand the issues and solutions.
OEH Host Peter Pope will illuminated the philosophy of ‘build tight, ventilate right’ and introduced our three guest speakers:
- Innovator Tom Lipinski from Ventive talked about passive ventilation solutions.
- scholar Ray Galvin from Cambridge University asked if we need to look at our own behaviour to get the right balance.
- Pete McKeown from local company Cernunnos covered mechanical systems.
Questions to this elite team sought to resolve the dilemma that we have all wrestled with – how much fresh air is enough?
