Friday 26th and Saturday 27th September, Noon- 3pm
The Barn, Top Farm, Fowlmere Road, Newton, Cambridge, CB22 7PG
Join Cernunnos, Open Eco Homes major sponsors and Installers of renewable energy systems at the launch of their new headquarters:
Cernunnos are renovating this listed historic barn in Newton (nearly opposite the Queen’s Head pub) to be their new HQ. It’s a dramatic building with a massive timber framework and a peg-tile roof that will combine historic features with modern offices, energy-efficiency and a wood-chip boiler. It will also form a display area and store for the renewable
technologies that Cernunnos supply and install.
Pete & Leemya McKeown, Cernunnos co-founders, are also Open Eco Homes hosts this year at their Huntingdon Rd property: a house in multiple occupancy that they let as 10 rooms with shared facilities. They have used Cernunnos know-how to dramatically improve it’s energy performance from EPC “G” (the worst) to a “B” (very good). It’s heated by a micro combined heat and power boiler (CHP) that also generates electricity.
See a 3½ min. video showing what they’ve done.
