In 2006 Iain and Suzie created a carefully budgeted five-year plan. Their 1950s ex-Council house is now super energy efficient, with noteworthy details such as hot water from both the woodburner and solar thermal panels, sheep’s wool insulation in the loft, bath insulation and a terracotta evaporation fridge.
